Tomorrow morning it’ll be one week till I leave! Thank you for all the love and support I’ve already received!
I was going over my packing lists and schedule again… I’m gonna need a bus just to bring everything they ask for.
For anyone who has no idea what is going on, here is my explanation letter which briefly explains my trip and what I need to make it happen. If anyone has questions please let me know. Again, gracias! 🙂
“Hey to all my amazing friends family!
I know it’s rare for me to interrupt your summer (or maybe not), but I have a huge need and am hoping you will prayerfully consider with me.
This summer I have applied and been accepted to a program called Ecclesia. (I know, try saying it five times fast!)
I will be going on a pilgrimage, of sorts, in North Dakota with other students my age and drawing closer to the Lord while digging deeper into the basis of my faith. I will be away from home for near 5 weeks, and while I am nervous for change, I am also so excited to be going on this adventure!
While we are there we will be on a strict schedule. We will have classes in theology and philosophy, we will be learning how to live and communicate as a community of young adults, how to better serve those around us, and be given the chance to hone talents and skills without the distractions of life at hand.
It will be incredible, and I am blessed with this opportunity to really live for Jesus and meet like minded people whom I can encourage and be encouraged by.
So I am asking for your help in whatever way possible. I need your prayers, family. This pilgrimage won’t be all cookies and ice cream, and your support on my weak days may be what it takes for me to continue. I need your letters of encouragement, as hearing from home and the people I love brings me joy like nothing else can.
I also need financial assistance. A private program like this doesn’t come cheap! $4,000 is my goal to raise and I already have some assistance from a ministry I serve, but I am still too far from my goal. What I ask is that even if you would offer $5, $50, $500 or whatever it is that you can spare- it is SO helpful and an answer to my desperate prayers!
If this is something you are willing to be apart of, please reply as soon as possible so I know I can count on your support. I leave on Monday, June 30th and return August 4th.
I also would love to see you upon my return at my graduation party!!! Being held at the McClain family farm, the afternoon of August 17th.
